Thermal imaging and thermal photography services
1. Site inspection
A site inspection is conducted to establish areas to be covered and equipment monitored. This will involve a qualitative survey which will reveal the existence and location of anomalies. It allows us to collect baseline data which is necessary at the commencement of any thermography maintenance program and also applies to brand new equipment
A quotation will be submitted outlining our recommendations and the services we intend to provide. On acceptance, a dedicated report template will then produced ready to receive and analyse the data recorded during subsequent surveys.
2. Periodic surveys
ID Dynamicsâ„¢ supplies periodic survey reports to monitor changing conditions in plant and equipment. Depending in which sector you operate, this could be every month, quarter, bi-annually or annually whichever is appropriate.
The client will receive illustrated professional surveys indicating anomalies within the nominated areas. Our standard contract is for a minimum two year period.
3. Individual surveys
ID Dynamicsâ„¢ undertake individual surveys based on an hourly rate plus travel costs. Minimum charge for the U.K is one day's fee plus travel costs.
4. Flexible maintenance packages
Usually equipment or electrical suppliers offer their own maintenance packages to customers. Identification Dynamics can incorporate our services within these to offer a superior maintenance product which may give your company an edge over a competing supplier.
5. Outsourcing service
Professional Infrared cameras, software, recalibration and trained personnel are an expensive investment and need maximum utilisation. If your business has already purchased infrared cameras but isn't using them to their full capability, it's worth considering an ID Dynamicsâ„¢ maintenance contract. It could offer greater data analysis and significant cost savings.
About Us
Survey Staff
ID Dynamicsâ„¢ employ trained staff who understand the complexities of infrared cameras and how to analyse thermal information.
Partnership
There are many variables involved in infrared thermology that will determine the accuracy of a report. ID Dynamicsâ„¢ work closely with clients' predictive maintenance teams including engineering, operations, management and maintenance.
Every survey is different and another 'learning experience'. Access to manufacturers' specifications of optimum running temperatures for particular machinery will enable us to eliminate inaccurate assumptions when evaluating temperature comparisons. As will the expertise and experience of company personnel with whom we will be working.
Energy/Temperature
Infrared cameras measure thermal energy (heat) emitted from an object - NOT TEMPERATURE. To transfer thermal data into temperature, other perameters have to be taken into account. These being:
- The emissivity of the object (how much radiation is emitted from the object compared to a perfect blackbody of the same temperature).
- The reflected apparent temperature
- The distance between the object & the camera
- The relative humidity
- The atmospheric temperature
Take a 2KW reflective electric fire containing two individual 1KW wired elements. When one element is switched on, it will glow red and emit 1KW of heat (thermal energy) at, for example, a temperature of 100C. When the second element is switched on, it will emit another kilowatt of heat or twice as much thermal energy. However the temperature will not double to 200C.
Cameras and Reports
To produce professional reports with extremely high image quality, ID Dynamics™ uses Flir ThermaCAM™ S65  or ThermaCAM™  SC640 cameras supported by advanced analytical software. These are heat sensitive from -40°C to 1500°C for high temperature application analysis. Our cameras are equipped with a variety of lenses to maximise reporting accuracy.
All reports are strictly confidential and ID Dynamicsâ„¢ will only distribute these to nominated individuals. The copyright remains the property of ID Dynamicsâ„¢ until the end of the contract period. We recognise that some sites are highly secure and will fully comply with security regulations that may be imposed within these areas.
Area of Operation
ID Dynamicsâ„¢ conducts surveys throughout the U.K, E.E.C and Gulf States.
